Job Summary:

This management position is the assistant to the Keystone Lodge & Spa FOH General Manager with primary focus for the success of Keystone Lodge dining operations.

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $58,461.98 - $65,000.00 
  • Employment Type: Year Round (11-month) 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of food & beverage professionals to deliver consistent service excellence across all areas of responsibility.
  • Guide and support all facets of the operation to insure that an “experience of a lifetime” is delivered to each and every guest
  • Be passionate about the hospitality industry and when necessary, lead change to keep the operation competitive in the market and current with industry trends in an effort to exceed guest expectations
  • Exhibit keen financial acumen, proactive planning and strategic marketing of the Bighorn Bistro & Bar programming to drive profitability
  • Inspire your team to have a desire to be the best at what they do both individually and as a collective
  • Collaborate with other resort leaders to align the outlets of responsibility with Keystone and Vail Resorts direction and initiatives
  • Actively participate in resort and F&B leadership meetings
  • Develop and empower fellow members of Keystone Lodge F&B supervisory team
  • Operate business in a manner to perform to or exceed budgeted margins
  • Regularly meet with Keystone Lodge stakeholders, in both group and 1:1 settings, to present, verbally or with visual presentation, the performance and direction of the operations.
  • Work independently or as a member of a team to meet or exceed established goals and deadlines
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policy, procedure and guidelines.
  • Insure that all reporting requirements for the entire operation are submitted ahead of the deadline
  • Enroll the operation, yourself, staff and resources in the participation of resort and local festivals/ events to enhance the value of the event, increase attendance and market the Bighorn Bistro and Keystone Lodge F&B.
  • Other duties as assigned or as business grows / develops.

Job Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a management/supervisor role
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in upscale restaurant concept operations
  • Minimum 1 year experience with maintaining restaurant reservation management systems
  • Computer proficient
  • Ability to read hospitality financial statements
  • Communicate easily and fluently in English
  • Communicate easily in Spanish – preferred
  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends as necessary
  • Knowledge and experience to develop and maintain beverage programming to match the outlet concept.
  • Experience with all Microsoft office software applications, InfoGenesis, - strongly preferred

The expected pay range is $58,461.98 - $65,000.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
