Job description

Pricing Analyst

Your role on the team: 

  • Develop and maintain pricing tools and profitability models 
  • Work with all departments to maintain pricing sheets on main lanes for airfreight for quick turnaround of quotes 
  • Grow total gross profit by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher sale values, conversion rates, margin rates, and customer satisfaction 
  • Present pricing analysis at a monthly strategy meeting, with insights, trends, and suggestions 
  • Communicate and help implement pricing changes bi-directionally through the command chain 
  • Manage pricing-related projects including establishing timelines 
  • Lead the day-to-day pricing activities across all product categories 
  • Evaluate pricing strategy performance and present recommendations to leadership in Merchandising that drive profitability and competitive pricing 
  • Liaise with department managers to ensure alignment on vendors used 
  • Work with departments on closed business to ensure the sold business is set up properly – providing shipping instructions to operations 
  • Issue all quotes via the operating system 
  • Track success / failure of quotes issued and provide regular feedback to department managers 
  • Review preferred vendor rates, and agreed margins, with department managers to ensure we are price competitive

What you need: 

  • Minimum of two years of related experience 
  • Experience with US Customs Regulations. CHB licensed preferred, but not required 
  • Experience with the CargoWise suite of logistics software 
  • Knowledge in all modes of transport 
  • Knowledge of Import and Export processes and requirements as it relates to pricing 
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers 
  • Strong Analytical skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form 
  • Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to meet demanding, evolving, and often competing deadlines 
  • Ability to Work cross-functionally throughout departments to prioritize pricing request responses
