Aon is looking for a Director - Compensation, Data Solutions - Norwalk, CT, New York Metro Area

Aon is looking to welcome adata-driven consultant to support our Data Solutions team, focusing on clients in the financial services sector. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing complex datasets, ensuring data quality, and translating insights into meaningful advisory support for compensation and organizational design.

Strong candidates will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in rewards by working with compensation survey products and data, sharing stories of project managing client engagements, and building and championing strong client relationships.

Preferred locations for the role include Norwalk CT / New York Metro Area.

What the day will look like

Data Management & Quality Assurance

  • Ingest, clean, and validate large datasets related to compensation and organizational structures.
  • Ensure data integrity across multiple client segments, including Investment Banks, Commercial Banks, Asset management firms, and other sub-sectors within the Financial Services industry.
  • Align client data with public filings and industry benchmarks to support high-quality deliverables.

Industry-Focused Analysis and Client Support

  • Develop a working understanding of compensation trends and organizational structures in Financial Services.
  • Apply industry knowledge to contextualize data and identify meaningful insights for clients.
  • Support benchmarking and analytics projects with a focus on relevance and accuracy for sector-specific needs.
  • Support client relationship management and support activities across Financial Services clients

Advisory Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with consultants and stakeholders to deliver timely and impactful compensation benchmarking and organizational consulting (OC) engagements.
  • Project Management consulting / advisory engagements

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify data issues and propose solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, offshore, tech, business) to ensure smooth data flow and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and templates that enhance data analysis and reporting.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
