Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Donaldsonville, LA area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for a Field Engineer/Surveyor.ย  We are seeking qualified candidates that are detail-oriented and experienced inย Industrial Marine Surveyingย to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of marine construction projects, including pile driving, dredging, dock construction, and other industrial marine operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, construction, and marine environments.ย  Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all of the companyโ€™s safety procedures.

ย 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Conduct precise surveys for marine construction projects using GPS and total stations.
  • Prepare and interpret survey data, maps, and reports for project planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Monitor and document progress, including as-built conditions and deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in industrial or marine surveying.
  • Proficiency with survey software.
  • Familiarity with marine construction methods and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of geodetic principles and coordinate systems.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments (on water, barges, docks, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TWIC, OSHA Maritime Safety) are a plus.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Preference given to candidates with 5 years of Field Engineer/Surveyor experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
