Job description

Clyde & Co seeks a Senior Associate with 6+ years' experience to join our insurance coverage litigation group in Los Angeles, CA. This practice represents international and national insurers on corporate insurance matters, handling insurance coverage investigations and disputes under all types of policies, including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess and general liability policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experience attorney who is able to work within a busy and fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage recommendations for clients;

  • Draft pleadings and briefs, and correspondence to clients;

  • Conduct legal researches using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis;

  • Draft interrogatories and document demands;

  • Review document collections in preparation for litigation;

  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required;

  • Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

  • Admitted to the CA Bar.

  • Excellent academic credentials;

  • Strong insurance coverage experience required;

  • Commercial Litigation experience required;

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills;

  • Exceptional attention to detail;

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

The salary range for this position is $200,000-$240,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
