Job Summary

The Bulk Raw Material Receiver is responsible for ensuring raw materials delivered via tankers and railcar are correctly transferred into our storage tank farm safely and efficiently. The Material Receiver must have excellent communication, capable of being the go between of purchased supplies and production demand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily review of available tank capacity to ensure scheduled deliveries can be accommodated
  • Responsible for the safe transfer of liquid raw materials from road tanker or rail car into our storage tanks for use in production.
  • Capable of receiving deliveries in the allocated sequence from purchasing
  • Responsible for ensuring documented accuracy regarding Item, quantity, lot and purchase order number
  • Monthly cycle count of bulk tanks to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Liaison with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality
  • Create receiving paperwork for warehouse receiving function
  • Utilize unloading equipment such as hoses, pumps, ladders along with associated material handling equipment and signage.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working area to 6S Lean standards
  • Work as part of the production team, helping load trailers when receiving duties are completed

  • High School/GED Practical understanding of equipment maintenance required
  • 3+ years Manufacturing Warehouse
  • Experience with polystyrene, polyurethane or other foamed plastics preferred
  • Experience in residential or commercial construction is preferred
  • Experience using construction tools preferred
  • Experience operating a forklift

Working Conditions:

The basic work environment is a combination of laboratory and factory settings.

Time Worked:

  • Hours worked-typically 7AM to 4PM
  • Days worked - Monday through Friday with Saturday and/or Sunday overtime possible depending on specific business schedules and needs
  • Position is a support position for a single shift, five-day operation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate computers and data stations
  • Ability to climb ladder
  • Standing (evaluation/observation of processes, procedures, materials, etc.)
  • Walking
  • Sight (visual observation of all processes/products/materials is required)
  • Hearing
