Role Description
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in solving complex business challenges through advanced analytics and machine learning. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across claims, underwriting, actuarial, and other business areas to transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions. In this role, you will develop, deploy, validate, and optimize predictive models while ensuring data quality, regulatory compliance, and reproducible analytical processes. You will also create impactful visualizations and communicate technical findings to a variety of audiences, while helping advance innovative data science capabilities throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Education
  • Master's degree required in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.

Required Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on machine learning and predictive modeling.
  • Strong proficiency with Python or R and relevant machine learning libraries such as Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and risk assessment within an insurance environment.
  • Extensive experience working with relational databases (such as Microsoft SQL Server) and cloud-based data warehouses (such as Snowflake).
  • Advanced SQL skills for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
