Job description

The Opportunity
Bowman Insurance & Benefit Services is the leading insurance partner to the dental community in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. For over 25 years, we’ve built trusted relationships with dental students, associates, specialists, and practice owners.
We are seeking a high-performing Life & Disability Insurance Advisor to step into an established, referral-driven market and grow a significant book of business.
This is not a cold-calling grind. This is a relationship-based advisory role within a clearly defined niche — with real upside.
If you are entrepreneurial, competitive, and confident advising professionals on complex coverage decisions, this role offers autonomy, strong support, and uncapped income potential.

What You’ll Own
  1. Manage and grow an existing book of dental clients
  2. Drive new production through referrals, warm leads, and industry relationships
  3. Cross-sell life, disability, and complementary insurance solutions
  4. Serve as a trusted advisor to dentists at every stage of their career
  5. Build long-term carrier partnerships and stay ahead of product trends
  6. Represent Bowman at dental society meetings, seminars, and conferences
  7. Document activity and manage pipeline within AMS360
You will have independence in how you build your business — with marketing support, established brand credibility, and deep industry access.

Who Thrives Here
Top performers in this role tend to:
  1. Treat their territory like a business they own
  2. Proactively build referral networks
  3. Communicate complex policies with clarity and authority
  4. Follow up relentlessly
  5. Value long-term client relationships over transactional sales
  6. Want income tied directly to production — not caps

Requirements
  1. 3+ years of Life / Disability / Health insurance production experience
  2. Active Life & Health Insurance License (KY & IN)
  3. Strong CRM or agency management system experience (AMS360 or Gen4 preferred)
  4. Self-directed, organized, and results-oriented
  5. Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation Structure
  1. Base salary plus uncapped commission
  2. No commission caps
  3. Performance bonuses
  4. Commission splits and referral bonuses across other insurance lines
  5. Established book of business + referral-driven niche market
High performers can build significant long-term income through renewal streams and cross-line growth.

Benefits
  1. Company-sponsored Health, Dental, Vision, and Term Life
  2. Short-term and Long-term Disability
  3. Employer-funded SEP Retirement Plan
  4. Paid Time Off
  5. Employer-paid licensing and CE
  6. Mileage reimbursement
  7. Professional development opportunities
Start Date: Spring 2026 (or earlier by mutual agreement)
