Insurance claims are formal requests made by policyholders to their insurance company for coverage or compensation for a covered loss or policy event. If approved, the insurance company will pay out the agreed-upon amount to the policyholder or a third party. The process may involve submitting documentation, working with adjusters, and sometimes negotiating settlements. Timely and accurate filing is important to ensure claims are processed efficiently.
