SCA Claims Processor I
Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.

The SCA Claims Processor I is responsible for coding and processing claim forms. Responsible for processing and manual review of Medicare Part B professional claims.
How you will make an impact:
  • Resolves edits/audits to ensure the accurate and timely adjudication of suspended claims.
  • Codes and processes claims forms for payment ensuring all information is supplied before eligible payments are made.
  • Researches and analyzes claims issues.
  • Learning the activities/tasks associated with his/her role.
  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Relies on others for instruction, guidance, and direction.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
  • This position is part of our Wellpoint Federal division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants to meet the residency requirement of living in the United States for at least three of the past five years.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • Good oral and written communication skills; previous experience using PC, database system, and related software (i.e., MSWord, Excel, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare insurance claims processing highly preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail preferred.
  • Prior experience with MS Office products preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the non-negotiable hourly rate* range for this specific position is $17.75.
