Claims Assistant-Hybrid
Our client, a well-established and highly respected property and casualty insurance carrier, is seeking Claims Assistant to join their Claims Customer Service Center on a temporary-to-permanent basis in Worcester, MA.
This is an excellent opportunity to launch or grow your career with a company known for its strong training programs, employee development, and collaborative culture. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers reporting losses related to auto, home, and business insurance claims.
What You'll Do
  • Manage incoming first notice of loss calls and electronically submitted claims
  • Assist policyholders, claimants, and agents in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Gather and document claim details accurately
  • Coordinate activities such as rental vehicle reservations, appraisal assignments, towing arrangements, and mitigation services
  • Utilize established workflows and systems to initiate claim handling activities
  • Identify customer needs and provide appropriate support and guidance
  • Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure a positive customer experience
Training Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Hybrid Work Environment
  • Two in-office days per week following training
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and business needs
  • Salary increase available upon permanent conversion

Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred or currently pursuing higher education
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, financial services, or office experience preferred
  • Minimum six months of call center and/or office experience required

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
