Job description

Supervisory Physician Springfield MO

Part Time with minimal time commitment

We are seeking a MD or DO to provide oversight remotely for our multidisciplinary practice in Springfield MO. We are looking for a physician to review the Nurse Practitioners medical charts as needed as well as provide oversight for the team. Great work/life balance with no call, nights, or holidays. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, ideal for a physician looking to supplement their income with minimal time commitment. Job duties will require 20% chart review to be completed once a month, done electronically. The physician can work remotely offsite to review the charts and supervise the NP but the 1st 30 days may need to be onsite to gain a better understanding of the NP duties (regen med, HRT, trigger point, and joint injections) and become confident with their ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical supervision and oversight for our advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner)
  • Review and sign off on charts as needed (review 20% of files once a month – done electronically)
  • Ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements
  • Provide coverage for the NP in case of emergency or unexpected time off
  • Offer guidance and support to our clinical team (minimal direct involvement required)

Requirements:

  • Must live within 75 miles of our clinic
  • MD/DO with an active medical license in MO
  • DEA and BNDD required
  • Credentialling within our insurance networks (we will assist with paperwork)
  • BCBE Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician but will consider other specialties
  • Ability to provide timely chart review and oversight

Compensation:

  • $2,000-$3,000 per month
