Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with management of a portfolio of clients by assisting with renewals/retention of current clients.
  • Maintain files and documents in accordance with office procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service for benefit, billing or claims questions.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on plan performance.
  • Update policy changes or inform clients of upcoming policy regulations or requirements.
  • Assist with preparation of renewal quotes by assisting with analyzing and spreadsheeting the quotes for the client.
  • Assist with compliance for employer regulations and requirements.
  • Assist with providing plan education or amendments as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience, and/or Abilities:

  • Experience as an insurance customer service representative or other insurance position is preferred but we will provide training as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a strong sense of accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner.
  • Customer focused to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Be accurate with attention to detail.
  • Exhibit problem resolution skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology.

Education and/or Experience:

  • State of Nebraska Life & Health Insurance License required
  • More than 2 years' experience in business or health/ancillary insurance industry preferred but we are willing to train the right person.
