What Will You Do?
As an Experienced Heavy Truck Claims Adjuster you will determine the validity of coverage for claims that include material damage. You will evaluate, negotiate, settle and/or resolve claims under the terms of the insurance contract in a prompt, fair and equitable basis.
This position is in-office in our North Richland Hills, TX office, located at 9151 Blvd 26, Suite 425B.
Responsibilities
  • Objectively appraise heavy truck, trailer and heavy equipment claims. Determines if coverage is in effect and applicable. Responsible for setting reserves and making payments.
  • Controls and directs appraisals written by others to conclude the claim. Reviews accuracy of appraisals and total loss evaluations. Acts as a liaison with independent appraisers regarding claim coverage information. Completes field appraisals as needed.
  • Uses computerized estimating and other resources to determine an accurate damage account. Consults with outside experts when necessary to obtain information pertinent to evaluating a claim.
  • Negotiates directly with repair shops, policyholders, claimants and/or their counsel to establish mutually satisfactory settlements.
  • Serves as a resource and trains others regarding material damage topics.

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent experience in Property & Casualty claims handling.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required insurance licensing.
  • Minimum 4 years of successful performance in a Claims position.
  • Appraisal experience preferred demonstrating the ability to proficiently and effectively manage assigned claims with minimum work direction.
  • Must have knowledge of heavy truck and industrial equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • An unquestioned ability to retain confidential business information.

Pay range for the Experienced Heavy Truck Claims Adjuster is $90,400 - $122,200 annually.
