Job description

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice. This role focuses on providing coverage advice and litigating complex matters involving casualty and specialty lines, including commercial general liability, excess/umbrella, professional liability, intellectual property, commercial property, and builders risk policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide detailed analysis of insurance coverage issues
  • Draft coverage opinions and prepare dispositive motions
  • Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation, including discovery and motion practice
  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and attend court conferences
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients on high-exposure matters
Requirements:
  • J.D. and admission in good standing to the New York Bar (Additional state bar admissions a plus)
  • Strong litigation background with experience in insurance coverage matters
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $150,000 - $225,000, based on experience, practice group, and location
