Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our thriving and collaborative emergency team.

Pay: $23.50 - $45.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

  • Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$3.50/hr. Shift Differential

  • Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$3.50/hr. Shift Differential

  • Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$5.00/hr. Shift Differential

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:

  • Triage and obtain patient history

  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.

  • Place IVC's and advanced catheters like jugular catheters, central lines or PICC lines.

  • Monitor and care for ventilator cases

  • Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients.

  • Have a passion for helping mentor and and train fellow associates.

  • Nurse critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents.

  • Perform other relevant roles/responsibilities.
