A well-established Insurande Defense seeking an Associate to join their team!

The ideal candidate has experience handling insurance defense matters and is looking for long-term career growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NY barred and admitted
  • 1+ years experience with Insurance Defense
  • Experience with any of the following areas is a plus: Construction, Labor Law, Premise Liability, Commerical Litigation, Insurance Defense

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend court appearances, conferences, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Conduct legal research and prepare dispositive motions
  • Communicate regularly with insurance carriers and clients
  • Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate
