Job description

DeNooyer Direct Insurance Servicesย is seeking a dedicated Insurance Agency Customer Service Representative to join our team in Colonie, NY.ย  Our insurance agency is located inside the DeNooyer Chevrolet dealership. In this role, you will be a point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support related to their insurance policies. You will assist clients with their inquiries and ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout their interaction with our agency.

DeNooyer Direct Insurance Services operating hours are Mon-Thur 9:00am -7:00pm; Fri 9:00am - 6:00pm and Sat 9:00am - 5:00pm.

***This is a part time position - the candidate must have availability some evenings and rotating Saturdays.ย  Schedule to be determined.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, and directing to the assigned agent if necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the insurance carriers and internal teams (both agency staff and dealership sales and office personnel) ย to resolve issues and provide solutions for mutual customers.
  • Support administrative tasks related to customer service operations such as gathering information for policy changes, payment processing and filing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in insurance is a plus.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably within the insurance or automotive industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and customer management software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
