Job description

An Insurance Account Manager is part of our Personal Lines Production Team. They perform a wide range of duties to support the team and to contribute to the growth of our agency by providing professional service for our clients. The ideal Customer Service Agent will enjoy interacting with our clients through email, phone conversations and welcoming customers in our office.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Posting of payments received from clients in AMS360 and the insurance carrier system
  • Communicating and providing service to our clients via phone, email, in person, or virtually
  • Direct clients to Service Centers when appropriate. i.e. Nationwide, Safeco, other carriers.
  • Log activities for all client & carrier communications and set suspense for any item that requires follow up
  • Receive changes requests from client and submit those requests to appropriate insurance carrier and confirm in writing to the client
  • Report to the company all new claims as indicated in claim handling procedures the same day that we are notified of the claim.
  • Review suspense items on a daily basis and address all outstanding items.
  • Process endorsements according to procedures
  • Respond to correspondence received by underwriters
  • Complete stewardships with clients each week.
  • Report significant (Cancellations, Non-renewals, Underwriting information) activity on an account to the Account Executive and/or PL Service Manager
  • Provide reception services to visitors of our agency by warmly greeting our customers
  • Assist in any projects, tasks or transfer of business that assists the PL Department in achieving their objectives.
  • Ability to cross-sell additional coverage or set appointment for Account Executive(s).
  • Other duties as assigned
