Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

In this role the Consumer Lending Intern will have the opportunity to gain resume building work experience through exposure to real-world situations not normally found in a classroom setting pertaining to Consumer Lending at a financial institution.  The intern will support loan operations, process improvement initiatives while gaining hands-on exposure to consumer lending products, underwriting concepts, loan originations systems, workflows and portfolio performance.  The intern will have the opportunity to participate in team meetings and present insights and observations with support.  

 Salary is $19.00/hr. Job Grade, NE 8.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

· Current  Undergraduate, Graduate program or recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field

· Must be located in Arizona.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

This job requires the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time.  Infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).  .

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:

· Research consumer lending product suite . Support analysis and provide observations and recommendations.

· Assist with research and implementation of a new checking account product and features

· Assist with various deposit promotions (Certificate of Deposits. High Yield Money Market)

· Document current lending workflows and identify potential inefficiencies with guidance from team members.

·  Assist with pre-approval and pre-qualification campaigns

· Provide support for consumer lending initiatives and projects

·  Performs other duties as assigned
