Job Title: FRONT DESK AGENT
Department: Lodging
Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour + upgrade commissions
Shift: Variable shifts based on occupancy levels
Coverage required 6:30 am - 12:00 am (Shifts typically 9 hours each)

SUMMARY
As a Front Desk Agent at Sundance Resort, you are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a refined and memorable stay. With grace, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to luxury hospitality, you will orchestrate seamless arrivals and departures, ensuring that every guest feels valued and genuinely welcomed. You will collaborate closely with the Front Office team and supporting outlets to curate exceptional experiences that reflect the warmth and environmental commitment of Sundance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Elevate the Guest Experience - Provide a polished and inviting front desk presence, ensuring a refined and warm welcome.
  • Deliver World-Class Hospitality - Deliver warm, personalized service that embodies the heart of Sundance. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, inspired by Forbes luxury service guidelines, ensuring every guest feels valued, welcomed, and immersed in the beauty of Sundance Resort-a Michelin Key-rated destination.
  • Personalized Guest Engagement - Anticipate and fulfill guest needs with intuition, efficiency, and a proactive approach.
  • Flawless Arrival & Departure Process -
    • Warmly greet and thank each guest upon arrival and departure.
    • Perform precise and efficient check-ins and check-outs for Sundance Cottages.
    • Coordinate group arrivals and departures seamlessly.
    • Obtain complete guest information, including valid payment methods.
    • Ensure all folios are settled before departure.
  • Concierge & Guest Services Excellence -
    • Assist guests with recommendations and reservations for resort activities (hiking, skiing, dining, spa, etc.).
    • Assist with Concierge duties as needed, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of guest requests.
  • VIP & Repeat Guest Recognition - Provide elevated service and thoughtful touches for returning and distinguished guests.
  • Flawless Coordination & Communication -
    • Organize and direct bell staff, concierge, and switchboard to execute seamless service.
    • Stay informed of group activities, special requests, and resort-wide events.
    • Coordinate guests' needs with other departments to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise -
    • Handle guest concerns with discretion, professionalism, and efficiency.
    • Resolve issues gracefully to maintain the resort's esteemed reputation.
  • Financial Accuracy & Responsibility -
    • Ensure payment is secured and accurately processed for guest folios.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of package codes, rates, and billing policies.
  • Operational Excellence -
    • Maintain an exceptional knowledge of Sundance Resort, its history, and its offerings.
    • Possess the ability to multitask effectively in both fast-paced and leisure-oriented environments.
    • Uphold Forbes service standards in every aspect of front desk operations.

    • Support Sundance's commitment to land preservation and sustainability.
    • Educate guests on environmental initiatives and recycling efforts as needed.
    • Know and communicate hours of operation for all resort outlets.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
  • TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification for onsite alcohol service. (Employee
  • responsibility to complete and pay as required by state law).
  • Excellent organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, task management, leadership skills and
  • previous front desk experience. Springer Miller System experience helpful.
  • Resort experience preferred or 6 months of related experience.
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation and electronic mail. SMS
  • knowledge is essential. Able to use 2-way radios for communication with other staff.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance
  • Company guidelines.
  • Must stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. (100 lbs. occasionally). Requires close and
  • color vision. Standing for 4+ hours per shift is expected.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While this role is primarily indoors, the Front Desk Agent may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including snow and cold temperatures, particularly when assisting guests. The employee may also occasionally work in elevated areas within the resort. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.
