Comparion Insurance Agency, a Liberty Mutual Company, is seeking a Regional Small Commercial Sales Manager to lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of small commercial producers. In this pivotal role you’ll drive regional sales, retention, and customer satisfaction by developing agents, strengthening carrier partnerships, and championing operational excellence across sales and service delivery. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape and evolve Comparion’s small commercial business while accelerating your leadership career.

*The successful candidate for this position will be eligible to earn variable compensation of up to 50% of their base salary in 2026, contingent upon achieving the designated key performance measures*

We are looking for people in the following states: TN, SC, NC, GA, FL & AL

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of small commercial producers to meet or exceed new-business, retention, premium growth and profitability goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance to expand and optimize the agency, identifying and evaluating new market and business opportunities
  • Support agents through the sales cycle: advise on policy types, effective coverage, renewals, policy changes and complex submissions/renewals.
  • Drive new business development by coaching agents on lead follow-up, cross-selling, prospect cultivation and referral strategies.
  • Act as a primary liaison among agents, clients and internal teams to ensure clear communication and timely resolution of post-enrollment issues.
  • Maintain and strengthen carrier relationships in partnership with Relationship Managers to enhance product access and service.
  • Oversee local marketing and community networking initiatives to ensure strong market penetration.
  • Ensure high service levels (on-time renewals, prompt certificate issuance, timely responses to client inquiries) and instill accountability for SLAs across the team.
  • Recruit, staff and manage personnel levels to align with business needs.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (retention, premium growth, loss ratios, revenue per producer) to identify opportunities, trends and obstacles; provide data-driven coaching and action plans.
  • Mentor, conduct performance reviews and deliver ongoing feedback to support career development and goal attainment.
  • Stay current on small commercial industry trends, products and regulatory changes affecting clients and carriers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor `s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial lines products and services; proven success with prior sales or related experience required.
  • Must possess highly effective oral and written communication skills, including group and individual presentation, persuasion, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Requires excellent organizational skills, effective time management, strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Incumbents must have, or be able to secure, a current state license, in property, casualty and life insurance.
  • Prior supervisory experience helpful
