Job description

Overview The Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) provides comprehensive education and training for new Raymond James financial advisors. Through distance learning, apprenticeship, and training at our international headquarters, candidates develop technical, sales, and clientโ€management skills to launch a successful advisory practice. Responsibilities Become fully trained to perform the Financial Advisor role and meet production targets that drive company revenue. Develop and grow a book of business in line with AMP program goals for assets under management and required production. Deliver highโ€quality client service, managing the full scope of client relationships and evaluating financial needs, investment opportunities, and portfolio holdings. Identify client investment objectives, communicate portfolio adjustments, and preserve client loyalty. Build a client pipeline through prospecting, networking, community involvement, and niche development. Recommend suitable investment products and solutions based on client needs, time horizons, risk profiles, and preferences. Collaborate with internal resources to uncover investment opportunities and solutions. Open, transfer, and close customer accounts and maintain accurate account records. Obtain, verify, and execute customer trade instructions, ensuring timely completion. Complete required program training, assignments, and mandatory industry license examinations within prescribed timeframes. Stay current on investment products, industry rules, regulations, and financial planning best practices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills Economic and accounting principles and practices. Financial markets, banking, and data analysis/reporting. Fundamental principles of product presentation, promotion, and sales. Firm policies, mission, strategy, and compliance guidelines. Proficiency with clientโ€relationshipโ€manager systems and related software (financial plans, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, databases). Effective questioning, listening, and needsโ€identification techniques. Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple tasks with shifting priorities in a fastโ€paced environment. Strong interpersonal communication, oral and written, across all organizational levels. Relationship building and networking within the community and with corporate stakeholders. Resilience in prospecting, networking, and highโ€stress situations. Selfโ€promotion and marketing of personal brand and Raymond James. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a fourโ€year institution (preferred) or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience demonstrating sales achievement in a business environment. Proven ability to grow a client book and meet production targets. Licenses & Certifications Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam โ€“ required or ability to obtain within four (4) months from program start. Series7 and Series66 exams โ€“ or ability to obtain within four (4) months. Life/Health and Variable Annuity qualifications โ€“ or ability to obtain within six (6) months. Optional: Uniform Investment Adviser Law (S65), Uniform Combined State Law (S66), General Securities Representative (S7) exams by FINRA. Compensation & Benefits The total compensation for this position includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, commissions, and potential equity components.
