Accounting Specialist

Location: Whitehall, PA


Schedule: 3–4 days per week, in-office


Farmer’s Frost is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our day-to-day accounting and operational finance activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices
  • Enter vendor invoices, payments, credits, and expenses into QuickBooks and our internal ERP system
  • Match payments to invoices and follow up on overdue balances
  • Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, missing invoices, and credits
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documents
  • Match operational costs to the correct shipments, purchase orders, vendors, and customers
  • Provide management with regular updates on payments due, outstanding receivables, and expected collections
  • Assist with reconciliations, payroll, tax documentation, and general bookkeeping as needed


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple invoices, payments, and deadlines
  • Professional communication skills
  • Experience in logistics, importing, food distribution, or transportation is a plus
