Job description

Description
3rd shift hours are from 11 PM-7 AM, Sunday-Thursday. Ritz offers a shift differential of an additional $1.18 per hour for 3rd shift on top of the regular base rate. Training is on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 AM-3 PM.
SUMMARY
Apply insulation and electrodes on VT active parts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Verify material you will be working with according to work order
  2. Inspect materials prior to use
  3. Attach primary screen to HV winding
  4. Mount primary screen with HV winding onto tape/tear machine
  5. Clean primary screen prior to taping/tearing
  6. Apply insulation and electrodes as per design documentation
  7. Tear layers as per design documentation
  8. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Job Safety & Health Analysis (JSHA's)
  9. Complete daily production logs
  10. Communicate with operators from other shifts
  11. Clean and maintain work area
  12. Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist mechanics, machinists, and engineers in repair work
  2. Provide on-the-job training to new employees
  3. Make inner, stem, compensation, and flange papers as required for taping of VT or CT active parts
  4. Make paper packs as required for the Assembly department

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
  2. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  3. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
  4. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of material and product up to 30 pounds. Equipment operation requires the use of safety equipment that includes but is not limited to safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
