Job Description
Job Summary:
The Production Intern will support and assist in the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, gaining hands-on experience in production processes, team coordination, and operational efficiency. This role involves working alongside the production team, learning safety and quality standards, and supporting coordination efforts across departments to ensure smooth production flow. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to apply problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support Production Operations - Assist the production team in preparing ion exchange products for dispatch to fulfill customer orders, working alongside a team of 15+ employees.
  • Daily Schedule Support - Help monitor and support daily production schedule attainment to meet internal and external customer commitments while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Production Planning Assistance - Observe, assist, and participate in the coordination and execution of daily production plans under the guidance of the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintenance Coordination Support - Shadow and assist in scheduling and tracking repairs of mechanical, pneumatic, and other instrumentation located within the plant.
  • Process Improvement Participation - Help identify and report bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process, contributing ideas to improve cycle times, quality, and safety.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or production concepts (coursework or prior exposure preferred)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures accurately
