What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operation of an assigned area of the Laboratory.

  • Provides leadership to ensure high-quality laboratory services, operational efficiency, compliance with regulatory standards, and achievement of departmental goals.

  • Supervises staff, supports budgeting activities, and contributes to strategic and performanceobjectivesacross the organization.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals,objectives, and operational priorities.

  • Supervise laboratory personnel, including performance management, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, and employee development.

  • Coordinate daily laboratory workflow, staffing assignments, and productivity to ensure efficient operations.

  • Monitor departmental performance,maintainrequired records andreports, and analyze operational data to support service excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

  • Provide technicalexpertiseand oversight to ensure the validity, accuracy, and integrity of laboratory testing.

  • Serve as a resource for staff, physicians, and nursing personnelregardinglaboratory testing, procedures, andresultinterpretation.

  • Assistin the oversight of quality control, quality assurance, and preventive maintenance programs for laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

  • Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve departmental communication, workflow efficiency, and patient care outcomes.

  • Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, cost management, and operational excellence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
