This hands-on role includes fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, process piping, instrumentation, and system testing. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication skills, experience with pipe fitting and mechanical assembly, and the ability to read and follow assembly drawings and quality control procedures. You'll play an integral role in bringing M2X's innovative gas-to-methanol systems to life.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Build Strong Foundations: Weld support structures, sub-skid systems, and stainless steel piping to exacting standards.
  • Bring Designs to Life: Read and interpret fabrication drawings, isometrics, and weld callouts to execute with accuracy.
  • Integrate Systems: Connect mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems, including wiring and instrumentation.
  • Ensure Quality & Safety: Perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and follow QA/QC procedures to deliver reliable, compliant builds.
  • Contribute to Scale-Up: Support the transition from prototype builds to production, identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications

  • A foundation in Welding, Manufacturing, or Engineering Technology (a technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent background) and 3-5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in welding processes (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW) with carbon and stainless steels, including 3G/4G plate and 6G pipe.
  • Ability to read and execute from technical drawings, schematics, and system diagrams.
  • Hands-on knowledge of process piping, bolted joints, compression fittings, and instrument installation.
  • A detail-oriented, safety-first approach with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technician experience with complex engineered systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive engines, wiring, generators, or commercial HVAC systems.
  • Previous weld certifications in carbon steel, stainless, and dissimilar materials, with interest in advancing into automated welding.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes (AWS, API, ASTM, ASNDT) and quality standards.
  • Strong skills with measuring and layout tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, etc.).
  • Comfort working in varied environments — from confined spaces to heights — with basic rigging ability when needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $25 - $35 per hour
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Professional development assistance
  • A culture built on collaboration, ambition, and purpose
