Job description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designer will utilize design tools in compliance with industry code
  • Position will support multiple client projects, simultaneously
  • Position will create/update electrical power plans, one-line diagrams, grounding plans, lighting plans, cable try routing drawings, schematics, and installations details
  • Position creates grounding and lighting plans
  • Designer will work on Substation and Motor Control Center (MCC) layout and Low and High Voltage, electronics, and basic electrical calculations
  • Will work with instrument design plans, loop sheets, etc.
  • Will utilize basic knowledge of electronics, motor controls and relay logic
  • Designer will create Instrument plans, loop diagrams along with installation details utilizing piping drawings, civil drawings, and P&IDs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • (7+) years' experience, EPC environment and Onsite (in-facility) experience
  • Experience in the design of electrical power distribution and equipment
  • Experience in installation of distribution control systems, programmable logic controller, industrial measurement and control instrumentation, associated wiring
  • Experience in creating instrument plans, loop diagrams and installation details utilizing piping drawings, civil drawings, and P&IDs
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, motor control and relay logic
  • Proficient using AutoCAD, Plant 3D and other design tools
  • Knowledge of NEC, ISA and other industry code
  • Proven knowledge of Grounding and Lighting, Instrument Plans & Components
  • Ability to work collaboratively in Team Environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to (25) lbs.
  • Ability to perform field visits to engage with client and personnel
  • Work schedules may include extended hours
