Job description

LIVunLtd is currently seeking experienced, energetic and exceptional Pilates Instructors to join our growing team! As a Pilates Instructor you will be expected to motivate and have a blast, all while teaching their scheduled pilates classes. Whether it be on a weekly or daily basis, Pilates Instructors are expected to provide an encouraging voice and energetic personality when leading all exercise activities.
Pilates Instructors must be able to teach at least one weekend morning between 8am - 12pm, and must be available to teach weekdays between 7-9am and 5-7pm. The ideal applicant is a professional, punctual, and independent instructor who can confidently take on new classes and clients and can successfully maintain a client base.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate and instruct Pilates techniques to classes and private clients of all levels, including warm-ups, stretching, exercises, and cool downs.
  • Reliability to teach scheduled classes and private sessions, beginning and ending on time.
  • Develop positive relationships with class participants and private clients by teaching a variety of challenging, innovative, and effective exercises / sequences in classes and private sessions.
  • Educate class participants and private clients on correct form, modifications, and options for all participants; as well as offer verbal and hands-on adjustments as needed
  • Attentively listen to clients, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes and private sessions.
  • Prepare playlists utilizing current music as needed for each class or private session.
  • Prepare equipment and studio for each class or private session.
  • Clean and organize the studio as needed, before / after each group fitness class or private session.
  • Set a positive tone and welcoming atmosphere for each class or private session.
  • Adhere and adapt to all current and new LIVunLtd policies, procedures and initiatives.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or situations that require attention to your manager.
  • Wear a corporate / building approved uniform for each specific LIVunLtd location where you are working.
  • Perform other additional duties and responsibilities specific to the location / building and upon the request of your manager.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current comprehensive apparatus Pilates Certification.
  • At least one year experience teaching Reformer and various types of Pilates apparatus in a small group setting and with private clients.
  • At least one year experience teaching group mat classes.
  • Energetic, positive and motivational teaching style
  • Capable of incorporating a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
  • Must maintain active CPR, AED and relevant fitness certifications.

COMPENSATION
The Yoga Instructor position with LIVunLtd pays minimum wage aligned with stage regulations for corporate education and development initiatives. The position pays a minimum of $70.00 per group fitness class. Rates are subject to change based upon work location.
