Job Summary:
We seek an individual passionate about teaching and invested in student success. If you
desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, we invite you to apply for an adjunct faculty position in Biology. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue in order to fill positions as needed each semester.
Scope:
The Department of Biology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University
welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Biology. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Biology will be considered.
Principal Responsibilities
This individual will serve as the instructor of record for introductory Biology
courses, Anatomy & Physiology I & II laboratory courses, or other courses as assigned. Typical assignments include one or two courses each semester, depending on student demand. Questions concerning the position should be directed to the Department Chair, Dr. Leslie Riley (l-riley.1@onu.edu).
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the
interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Biology courses are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Biology or 18 hours graduate coursework in Biology is
required. Those with a doctorate in Biology and experience teaching Biology at the university level are encouraged to apply.
