The Woodlands Country Club is one of Texas' premier private clubs, offering exceptional golf, racquet sports, fitness, dining, and family amenities across multiple campuses. Our Racquet Center features a vibrant tennis community with year-round programming for players of all ages and skill levels.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Tennis Instructor to join our Racquet Sports team. This position is ideal for a teaching professional looking for a flexible, instruction-focused role. The instructor will primarily teach private and group lessons while supporting select club programming and delivering an outstanding member experience.
Responsibilities
  • Teach private and group tennis lessons based on scheduled demand.
  • Deliver instruction that follows the teaching philosophy and curriculum established by the Director of Athletics and Head Racquet Professional.
  • Assist with clinics, camps, leagues, and special events as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate lesson attendance and communicate participant progress when appropriate.
  • Promote club tennis programs and encourage member participation.
  • Arrive prepared, on time, and in professional attire for all scheduled lessons.
  • Foster a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment for members and guests.
  • Adhere to all club policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics or Head Racquet Professional.
Qualifications
  • Current USPTA or PTR certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of tennis teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong playing ability and demonstrated on-court teaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR/AED certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
  • Positive attitude and passion for growing the game of tennis while providing exceptional member service.
