LOCATION: Middle School
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The swim instructor is responsible for instructing all swim lesson participants
  1. This position is also responsible for the safety of the participant in their own group
  2. Work hours as scheduled which includes arriving 5 minutes prior to the lesson start time
  3. Instructs and evaluates students participating in swim lessons
  4. Submits completed time on time
  5. Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
  6. Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
  7. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
  8. All other duties as assigned and appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
  1. American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED
  2. Ability to positively interact with the general public.
  3. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
  4. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
