Job description

Mathnasium of South Surrey helps children build confidence and excel in math through personalized instruction. We are growing and looking for a driven, people-oriented Assistant Centre Director to join our leadership team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in sales, customer service, education, or youth program leadership who enjoys a mix of operations, parent communication, and team support.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Centre Director supports daily centre operations and plays a key role in new enrollments, parent relations, instructor support, and maintaining a positive learning environment. You’ll work closely with the Centre Director and be trained on the Mathnasium Method and all operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Enrollments:

  • Respond promptly to new leads
  • Conduct student assessments
  • Guide parents through the program benefits leading to successful enrollments
  • Meet monthly enrollment goals

Parent & Student Relations

  • Build relationships with families
  • Ensure student progress and satisfaction
  • Provide updates on student progress
  • Handle questions professionally

Team & Instructional Support

  • Train, lead and support instructors
  • Teach students as needed (training provided)
  • Ensure quality instruction and smooth daily flow

Operations & Administration

  • Assist with scheduling, student management, and centre organization
  • Help maintain focus on sales, learning outcomes, and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with children or youth
  • Leadership or supervisor experience
  • Passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
  • Strong math acumen
  • Teaching / tutoring experience a bonus but not required
