Department Summary
WellWorks Group Exercise Instructors lead cardio, strength, mind/body classes for up to 30-35 participants. (Examples: Spin, HIIT, Bootcamp, Total Body Strength, TRX, Yoga, Yoga Wall, Pilates, Barre.) Instructors will be trained how to use our facility software system to check-in registered participants for classes. Instructors will be required to communicate to class participants about WellWorks relevant upcoming events and programs.
Instructors may start as a substitute instructor and work their way into the regular schedule depending on need.
Basic cardio classes (spin, zumba/dance, strength, etc.) start at $15/hour.
Pilates starts $20+/hour, depending on training and years of experience.
Yoga starts $25+/hour, depending on training and years of experience.
Instructors coach and motivate participants in order to maximize their workout. WellWorks Group Exercise Instructors may also have opportunities to lead workshops for academic classes, campus organizations and other groups in the Athens community.

Level Summary
Performs professional-level work that involves basic, operational problem-solving. Independently resolves day-to-day issues and executes clearly defined tasks. Provides data analysis and informational insights to support decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None; may assist with training student employees.
Fiscal Responsibilities
No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions.

Solves routine problems with defined processes and guidance.
Independence of Action
Works under close supervision.
Communication and Collaboration
Collaborates with peers and follows guidance from supervisor.
Physical Requirements
This role would require good physical health as the instructor does the fitness routine while participants follow along.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and less than 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Healthcare professionals must hold, or be eligible for, appropriate licensure as required by position.
Preferred Qualifications
Health and Wellness background.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
At least 6 months of experience leading a group exercise class.
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
