Job Description:

Job Summary:
The part-time Career Plus High School and E-Campus Instructional aide performs a variety of tasks essential to the success of the West Georgia Technical College Adult Education Program.

Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Process and assist students registering for either the Career Plus High (CPH) School Diploma Program or Adult Education online classes. (15%)
Review applicant data and assessment results to determine eligibility for CPH program. (25%)
Follow up with qualified students to request required records, verifying admissions documentation, and discuss program options and career pathways. (10%)
Assist with administering and proctoring student assessments and high school equivalency (HSE) practice tests in both in person and virtual settings. (10%)
Provide technical support to online (E-Campus) adult education students by assisting with account access, login issues and learning platform navigation. (10%)
Enter student data into the program databases. (10%)
Assist with recruitment and retention activities (10%)
Participate in meetings, professional development and training/programs as assigned (5%)
Other Duties as Assigned (5%)

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a morning part-time administrative position, 19 hours per week, Monday-Thursday.

Location of Work:
Murphy/Waco campus.

Rate of Pay:
$15 per hour- No benefits

Travel:
Travel to other campuses is a possibility for meetings, training, professional development, etc.

Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) credential.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree;
Experience working with adults in an educational or training setting.
Experience working in a formal classroom in support of a teacher.
Experience doing data entry or working with GALIS or within other databases.
Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills;
