After School Instructional Provider

Status: Part-Time
Days: Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $22.50

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, facilitate and implement program activities; provide assigned instruction for school students; provide supervision of programs students.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Responsible for supervising and delivering instruction to a classroom of students, facilitating their participation in hands-on, engaging, and experiential learning activities that promote curiosity, collaboration, and academic growth.
โ€ข Work with and instruct school students individually and/or in small and large groups, while maintaining appropriate program ratios.
โ€ข Implement effective classroom management, discipline and instructional strategies.
โ€ข Set up activities on a daily basis; prepare and duplicate materials and operate instructional equipment.
โ€ข Monitor and evaluate the instruction and the studentsโ€™ progress.
โ€ข Maintain daily attendance sign-in/sign-out log and other records as required.
โ€ข Maintain the classroom or learning facility in a clean, organized and healthy manner; storage of materials is required on a daily basis.
โ€ข Supervise students in and out of the classroom during various activities.
โ€ข Maintain frequent and regular parent communication and support parent involvement.
โ€ข Attend staff meetings/planning/training sessions on a weekly basis or as required.

โ€ข Perform job related duties as assigned.

โ€ข Positive Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with students, families, school staff, and teammates. Instructional Provider must serve as positive role models and effective communicators.
โ€ข Commitment to Belonging: Sensitivity to and respect for the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and abilities of students and families.
โ€ข Growth Mindset and Flexibility: Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and adapt to the evolving needs of the program and school site.
โ€ข Experience with Youth Group: Previous experience working with young children in educational or recreational settings is highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
โ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent.
โ€ข A minimum of 48 Semester/60 Quarter College Units or pass NCLB test.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
โ€ข Provide a clear TB test.
โ€ข Reliable transportation is required to meet the needs of the position.
โ€ข While driving is not a regular requirement of this role, employees who operate a personal or company vehicle for work purposes must maintain a valid driver's license and current auto insurance on file with HR.
