Job description

Venture Dynamics is looking for Manual Machinists to joinour team in support of the local Ship Repair industry in the Norfolk, VA area.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have 5+ Years of CNCExperience and will be able to execute the following:

Set up and program CNC Lathes, using Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.
Program and write new jobs via CAM-ing software.
Write and edit programs manually.
Read and work independently from detailed drawings.
Set up machine tools selecting the proper tooling, jigs, fixturesand the correct speeds and feeds for the material being machined.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in a teamenvironment.
Have demonstrated leadership ability through directing the workactivities of a diverse group of individuals in a CNC environment.
Must have extensive tooling knowledge.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
Must have experience with manual lathes and mills.
Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings and other technicaltrade related documents
Must have adept mechanical ability, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordinationrequired to perform various projects, per drawings, sketches, and verbal orwritten instructions.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical training preferred.
