Job Summary
Now Hiring: Electrician (with Interest in Learning HVAC)
Part-Time or Full-Time – Based in Wesley Chapel, FL

Instant A/C & Electric is a small, locally owned HVAC and electrical service company based in Wesley Chapel, serving primarily the Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, and surrounding areas. We are currently looking for a skilled Electrician who is also interested in learning HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair while continuing to focus primarily on electrical work.
This is a unique opportunity to grow your career across two trades—perfect for someone looking to become more versatile in the residential and light commercial service industry.
Position Details:
  • Part-time or full-time available (minimum 3 days/week for part-time)
  • Bonuses and commissions available
  • Salary based on experience (range assumes full-time schedule)

Your Responsibilities:
Electrical (Primary Role):
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on residential and light commercial electrical systems
  • Install panels, breakers, lighting, switches, outlets, and perform service upgrades
  • Diagnose code violations and ensure compliance with NEC standards
  • Assist with wiring for HVAC system installations and upgrades
HVAC (Secondary/Training Role):
  • Assist with or learn to install/replace HVAC systems (splits, rooftops, ductless, etc.)
  • Support maintenance and diagnostics on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment
  • Work alongside seasoned HVAC technicians to build hands-on experience
General:
  • Maintain vehicle, tools, safety equipment, and inventory
  • Use company software to manage schedule, invoices, and payments
  • Engage with customers to explain findings and suggest improvements
  • Occasionally participate in after-hours/on-call rotation (if full-time)
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical service work
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn HVAC (we’ll train the right candidate)
  • Type II or Universal EPA Certification a plus (can obtain during training)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and solve problems efficiently
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and outdoors
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must pass background and drug screening
