Job Overview:

The Comfort Advisor Trainee (Residential HVAC Sales Advisor Trainee) role is an entry-level position designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship to individuals interested in pursuing a career in HVAC sales. This position is perfect for someone passionate about customer service and wanting to grow their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Our Next Class Starts 10/12

What You'll Do:

During training, you will participate in extensive training to conduct in-home consultations, assess HVAC needs, and recommend appropriate systems and services. You will also shadow experienced Comfort Advisors during in-home consultations to gain hands-on experience assessing customers' needs, including providing support in preparing presentations and detailed quotes.

After graduation, you will be able to…

  • Conduct In-Home Consultations: Meet with homeowners to evaluate their HVAC needs, perform assessments, and discuss potential solutions.
  • Present HVAC Solutions: Provide detailed explanations of our HVAC products and services, helping customers make informed decisions.
  • Prepare Estimates: Develop accurate and competitive pricing estimates based on customer requirements and company guidelines.
  • Close Sales: Utilize effective sales techniques to convert consultations into sales, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Follow-Up: Maintain customer communication to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and provide ongoing support.
  • Leverage Leads: Work with company-provided leads and self-generated prospects to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Attend Training: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, sales strategies, and industry trends.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and installation schedules.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of successful sales and/or customer service experience. Consultative sales experience is a plus!
  • Strong interest in HVAC systems and sales.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand and explain technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A positive, coachable, and driven attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • A current and valid driver's license in the state where you will work.
