Reports to: Division Head – Master Electrician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime and Saturday work as needed based on project requirements.

License requirement: Active North Dakota Journeyman Electrician license required

Sign on bonus: $5,000, subject to company eligibility and payment terms

Position Summary

Century Builders is seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Electrician with an active North Dakota Journeyman Electrician license to join our growing commercial construction team in Fargo, North Dakota. The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial construction projects while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has commercial electrical construction experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems and applicable codes, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Applicants must hold an active North Dakota Journeyman Electrician license to be considered for this position.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Demonstrated experience performing commercial electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairs.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, applicable codes, and construction safety requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.

  • Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel within North Dakota and Minnesota may be required.

  • Overnight stays may be necessary from time to time depending on project location. Company-paid hotel accommodations and per diem are provided for required overnight travel.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work safely on active commercial construction sites; stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work from ladders or lifts as required.

  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
