Reich Installation Services, Inc.

Position Overview

Reich Installation Services, Inc. is seeking experienced Conveyor Installers to join our growing team supporting large-scale warehouse, distribution center, and material handling projects throughout the United States. This position is responsible for the assembly, installation, alignment, and commissioning support of conveyor systems and related material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate has direct experience with conveyor system installation, can read installation drawings, and thrives in physically demanding, fast-paced construction environments. This is a full-time traveling position requiring extended stays at project locations nationwide. Team members should expect to live near or at the job site for the duration of assigned projects and be comfortable traveling for extended periods throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and align conveyor systems, including conveyor frames, rollers, belts, drives, supports, and associated components.
  • Install structural steel, header steel, platforms, guardrails, catwalks, and other equipment associated with conveyor systems.
  • Assist with the layout, staging, and pre-assembly of conveyor systems according to project drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret installation drawings, blueprints, layouts, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate installation.
  • Verify equipment alignment, elevations, and measurements throughout the installation process.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot installation issues to ensure systems are installed properly and ready for startup.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and jobsite equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all Reich Installation Services safety policies, OSHA regulations, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Support and mentor less experienced installers while working collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, and fellow crew members.
  • Travel extensively to customer locations throughout the United States and remain on-site for the duration of assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience installing conveyor systems, material handling equipment, structural steel, or related industrial systems required.
  • Demonstrated experience with conveyor assembly, mechanical installation, equipment alignment, and system integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, blueprints, and layout diagrams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial construction and installation practices.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other installation equipment.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or aerial lift experience is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and basic hand tools required.
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively and stay away from home for extended periods as project schedules require.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in active construction, warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution center environments.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended travel schedules as required by project demands.
  • Capable of working in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
