Description:

The Installation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the commercial installation of assigned HVAC projects, delegating tasks, ensuring on time and accurate completion in accordance with blueprints or written instructions. This position ensures the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope.

Requirements:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to review priority reports for active, ongoing, and upcoming installation projects
  • Document key decisions, action items, and ensure timely follow-up and execution
  • Support estimating efforts by providing technical guidance and input during bid development, as needed
  • Lead project turnover meetings with Sales and Estimating to ensure clear scope alignment and execution readiness
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between Sales/Estimating teams and installation crews to resolve project questions and clarify scope
  • Act as the main point of contact for General Contractors on assigned projects, ensuring clear communication and project coordination
  • Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and technical training to installation teams in HVAC systems, company processes, safety standards, and workmanship expectations
  • Assist field technicians with complex, unusual, or high-impact technical challenges to ensure proper resolution and project continuity
  • Perform quality control inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with company standards, contract scope, and industry best practices
  • Ensure accurate communication of job details to field teams to support efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of work
  • Oversee and enforce proper submission of change orders and ensure all project modifications are documented and communicated appropriately
  • Maintain working knowledge of North Carolina Mechanical, Electrical, and Gas codes and apply them in field oversight and project execution
  • Coordinate with inspectors to resolve failed inspections and ensure timely project closeout compliance
  • Monitor installation progress and provide feedback to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and to quality standards
  • Reinforce company policies, procedures, safety standards, training programs, and core cultural values across all field operations
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal team members to support successful project delivery
  • Promote and enforce a safe, compliant, and organized jobsite environment in alignment with OSHA regulations
  • Support and advance Tri South Mechanical’s culture, mission, and core values in all leadership actions and decisions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational success
