We're looking for a Project Manager to join our team serving the residential and commercial construction industry. An ideal candidate for this role can manage multiple priorities while applying knowledge in the construction field along with excellent communication skills. This position reports to the Operations Manager. Depending on the service area, the Project Manager will be based out of our Madison or Milwaukee area distribution centers. The Project Manager works a full-time, first-shift schedule, Monday to Friday, with frequent travel and some overnight stays.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage and schedule installers/installation for all work assigned to the project, including job site cleanup.

Manage products, product quantities, and deliveries for each project.

Attend all project and foremen meetings.

Perform all moisture tests.

Manage all change orders and floor prep logs.

Verify all bills within the scope of each project.

Approve/reject all subcontractor invoices that relate to each job.

Ensure all projects are done timely and on scheduled time frames; create punch list for each job and every product of Nonn's and manage them to completion and sign off.

Keep daily log/enter notes of reference/moisture readings, what is ready, etc.

Communicate with sales team regarding their jobs; assist with bidding/detailed job progress and costs.

Learn and maintain product and installation knowledge.

Assist with interview process for hiring subcontractors.

Assist with all deliveries and combine items whenever possible to be more efficient and avoid unnecessary job site trips.

Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 2+ years of work experience in construction quality assurance or managing installation teams.

Previous work experience in construction interior finishes preferred (flooring, cabinets, countertops, and/or appliances).

Previous work experience reading and analyzing blueprints.ย 

Previous work experience in customer service and/or supporting sales or project teams.

Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Must have a valid driver license and meet our minimum standards following a Motor Vehicle Record review at time of job offer and at regular intervals while employed.ย 

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.

Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests.

Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to record measurements, calculate fractions and percentages, convert square feet and square yards, and understand basic financial transactions.
