Position Summary


The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a generator sales and service company. This role ensures seamless coordination between sales, technical service, and logistics teams to deliver high-quality products and services to customers. The Operations Manager acts as a key liaison between the Sales Manager and Technicians Manager to drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth.





Key Responsibilities


Operational Management



  • Oversee daily business operations, including sales order fulfillment, generator installations, maintenance scheduling, and service delivery


  • Develop and implement operational processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality


  • Monitor workflow to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget



Cross-Functional Coordination



  • Act as the primary liaison between the Sales Manager and Technicians Manager to ensure smooth communication and execution


  • Align sales commitments with technical capacity and resource availability


  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings to prioritize projects and resolve operational challenges



Team Leadership & Support



  • Provide leadership and guidance to administrative, logistics, and support staff


  • Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to ensure alignment on goals and expectations


  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement



Customer Experience



  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing service delivery and resolving escalated issues


  • Support the sales team in delivering accurate timelines and service commitments


  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements as needed



Inventory & Logistics Management



  • Oversee inventory levels for generators, parts, and supplies


  • Coordinate procurement, warehousing, and distribution activities


  • Ensure proper tracking of equipment and materials



Financial & Performance Management



  • Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction


  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as job completion times, service efficiency, and revenue targets


  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to operations



Compliance & Safety



  • Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies


  • Maintain proper documentation for installations, maintenance, and inspections





Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred)


  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in industrial equipment, construction, or energy sectors


  • Strong understanding of logistics, service operations, and inventory management
