The Install Technician is responsible for the safe and professional installation, service, maintenance, and removal of interior and exterior signage. This role works closely with Project Managers, Production, and Customers to ensure signs are installed accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of craftsmanship and professionalism. This position plays a critical role in representing the company in the field and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, site surveys, permits, and install packets.
  • Verify materials, hardware, and equipment prior to leaving for job sites.
  • Ensure signs are level, secure, operational, and installed per specifications.
  • Complete punch lists and field adjustments as needed.
  • Perform service and warranty work when assigned.
  • Safely operate lifts, ladders, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Conduct daily inspections of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain organized install trucks and tools.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Wear required PPE including safety glasses, harnesses, gloves, etc.

Documentation & Communication

  • Take installation photos and submit completion documentation.
  • Communicate job progress, delays, and field issues to manager.
  • Track labor hours and clock accurately on jobs.
  • Represent the company professionally with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ pounds.
  • Basic construction and hand tool knowledge.
  • Ability to read tape measures and installation drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred

  • Previous sign installation experience.
  • CDL license.
  • Crane or bucket truck experience.
  • Electrical sign experience.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Experience operating forklifts or aerial lifts.
