Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Installation Technicians for projects located in or around New Haven, CT. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $40-$45/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a HVAC Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
  • Running line sets at new construction builds
  • Routing-Pulling, bending and routing copper pipes (the liquid and suction lines) through walls, attics and crawlspaces
  • Preparation-Sizing lines and cutting tubing according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes
  • Insulation-Installing closed-cell foam insulation on suction lines and wrapping lines to prevent condensation and thermal loss.
  • Sealing-Sealing wall penetrations with spray foam or caulk to block air, moisture and pests
  • Securing-Using straps and hangers to secure piping at specific intervals depending on guidelines to prevent structural strains
  • Testing-Assisting lead techs with pressure testing and leak detection

Requirements:
  • Valid S2 or DE license for CT
  • Basic understanding on HVAC refrigeration cycles, airflow and how to operate tools like pipe bender, flaring tools and torque wrenches
