Job description

Are you good with handy work? 

Are you able to do some basic plumbing, electrical work in a residential home? 

As Installer/Maintenance Technician for Trans Global Service you will report to the Supervisor of Installation Services. Our goal is to help create a memorable experience for the customer on a major purchase. In this position, you will be required to cover a specific geographic area and will be provided a company vehicle. Lifting, squatting, kneeling are regular activities required.


  • Installation of appliances (dishwashers, washers, dryers, wall ovens, cooktops), as well as installation/mounting of televisions, and assembly of furniture (ready to assemble) products.
  • Travel to customers homes, complete a professional installation of their products; may include deliver or haul away their old appliances or televisions.
  • Knowledge of other company products and services to the customers (Service plans, warranty products, maintenance products for their new purchase).

All work is dispatched, and repair orders completed, on hand-held devices (smart phone). Communication is done by phone, text message and email, using the smart phone device.

A uniform, company vehicle, and any tools will be provided to perform the duties of the job.


Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in appliance installation, handy man work, trades, and television mounting
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to provide a clean 3 year drivers abstract
  • Must be comfortable using an electronic mobile device (Cell Phone)
  • Able to work 40 hours a week
  • Evening and weekend availability would be an asset

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Ability to work with scheduled timelines
  • Team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the use power tools, appliance installations and basic plumbing and electrical work
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of Dishwasher Installations, including basic plumbing knowledge (Ex. Installing couplers, shut off valves to the different types of pipes within a home)
  • Working knowledge of Over the Range Microwave Installations, including basic electrical (Ex. installation of a power receptacle)
