The Electrician Helper will have an Apprentice or Residential Wireman license and 3-5 years of solar experience. They will work closely with a Journeyman Electrician to perform routine electrical work, install electrical equipment, systems and controls including electrical wiring, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
Job Duties:
  • Observe and Assist Electrician - Electrician helpers take instruction from senior electricians, who rely on electrician helpers to complete electrical projects. A Licensed Wireman, Journeyman or Master Electrician will give electrician helpers written or verbal instructions, which the electrician helper follows as directed.

They wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment and adhere to job-specific safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain Tools and Inventory - Journeyman and master electricians have a wide variety of tools and equipment, and electrician helpers ensure that all necessary tools are on site and readily available during the project. Electrician helpers keep electrical parts and materials organized and will transport tools and materials to the electrician as needed.
  • Prepare and Clean Work Site - Before a project begins, electrician helpers assist with cleaning and preparing the workspace for the electrician. After the project, electrician helpers clean and tidy the work area, removing unused materials, dust, and dirt as needed.
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by Electrician.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Apprentice Electrician License or Residential Wireman license required.
  • 3-5 years of experience.

  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and working in hot and cool climates.

We understand you may be a great candidate without fitting all our preferred experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes.
