Our Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a Systems Helper in Albany, GA. This position will work within Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, and Federal businesses and be part of an amazing and GROWING team! All positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn/comprehend Basic Blueprints and Layout from shop drawings
  • Physically Install network and Fiber Optics Structured Cable Distribution Systems
  • Install Outlets, Pull Cable, Install Fire Stopping and Pre-Termination Including Organizing
  • Forming, Dressing and Labeling Cables to Industry Standards
  • Terminate, Assemble and RJ45 Modular and Coaxial Connectors
  • Test Copper Cables to Established Certification Parameters Utilizing Appropriate Tests as Required
  • Removal and Demolition of Abandoned Cables
  • Maintain Systems According to Industry Standards Including ANSI, EIA/TIA, BICSI, and Local Low Voltage Codes
  • Install Backboards, Connecting Blocks, Racks, Patch Panels and Fiber Enclosures
  • Satisfy our customers to provide for repeat sales and favorable recommendations.
  • Abide by all customer and general contractor rules
  • Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
  • Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
  • Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company.
  • Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
  • Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
  • Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
  • Ensure that all personnel conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times.
  • On at least a daily basis, preplan and identify task specific hazards and the means to mitigate them.
  • Observe the habits of others and bring to their attention deficiencies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience can substitute the technical degree.
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
  • Prior experience with electrical or construction work preferred.
  • Positively identify colors of wires.
